What is conversational review?

Replying to the tool's findings conversationally to ask why, push back, or request an alternative fix.

A finding you disagree with is normally a dead end: dismiss it, or argue with a dashboard. Conversational review lets a developer ask why the tool flagged something and get reasoning back in the pull request thread.

It changes the interaction from verdict to discussion, which reduces the resentment that makes teams disable tools. It also gives the vendor a signal about which findings developers reject and why.

What to look for

Where the conversation happens: a PR thread, an IDE panel or a separate app
Whether the tool can revise or withdraw a finding after discussion
Whether context persists across a conversation or resets each message
Whether dismissals feed back into future analysis
